Artist Talk/s: 15/02/25 | 10am – 11am
Showcasing the talents of emerging regional artists from the Pilbara and Kimberley regions, Radius 6.0 is a dynamic group exhibition that offers early-career artists a unique platform to grow, develop their skills, and gain visibility. This exhibition is more than just a display of art; it’s a launchpad for artists to build their confidence and refine their practice within a professional gallery setting.
A key highlight of the program is the invaluable mentorship provided to all participants. Experienced artists and professionals offer both group and one-on-one mentorship sessions, guiding emerging artists through the creative process with insights, feedback, and support. This mentorship helps artists navigate their artistic journey, fostering growth and encouraging innovation.
In addition to mentorship, accepted artists receive an exhibition fee, assistance with artwork installation, and comprehensive publicity and advertising. The exhibition welcomes a diverse array of artistic mediums, including painting, sculpture, textiles, digital media, and photography.
The works on display form a rich tapestry of artistic expression. From Indigenous paintings that honor ancestral heritage to innovative, sustainability-driven designs of upcycled fashion and textiles, the exhibition highlights a variety of creative practices. Intimate portraits and architectural studies capture the community’s stories, while photography showcases the beauty of nature and its surroundings. Sculptural pieces reinterpret familiar forms, pushing the boundaries of imagination and environmental awareness.
This exhibition reflects the power of art to preserve tradition while driving change. It invites visitors to engage deeply with works that bridge the past, present, and future – connecting people, culture, and the world around us. Join us in celebrating this vibrant community of creatives and watch these talented artists grow and flourish
