Artwork Description: These lidded porcelain vessels are storytellers, each representing an adventure of memory. They are part of a series inspired by my summer experiences of coastal life, capturing discoveries and moments along the way. Each lid serves as a title, marking the beginning of a new story.
Artist Bio: Based in Geraldton & the number one daughter of a wetline fisherman, my work inevitably references the sea. My highly patterned, ocean forms, drawings and textile, interprets coastal Western Australia in a bright maximalist story. My creative practice covers many art disciplines with the main focus being ceramics and textile design. From a young age I have been immersed in creative arts - traditional and contemporary; then going on to study visual arts at TAFE, which has led me to teaching and running my own art company and studio/gallery. The creative arts is my fulltime career.
