Rumma Designs Round Ocean Treasure Bangle – size Medium
Rumma Designs jewellery is designed and made by Kim Christian in Fremantle, Western Australia.
Rumma means 'to collect periwinkles and catch crabs at night' in Norfuk (or Norfolk) which is the creole language spoken on Norfolk Island, a tiny island in the South Pacific. Norfuk is a mixture of old English and Tahitian originally spoken by the Bounty mutineers and Tahitian women who settled on Pitcairn Island. Kim is a descendant of Fletcher Christian, the leader of the 'Mutiny of the Bounty' and was lucky to spend most of her childhood on Norfolk Island. She remembers how fun it was exploring the reef at Emily Bay on Norfolk Island when the tide was out. Her love for beachcombing continues today and inspired her to start Rumma Designs.
Rumma Designs jewellery features ethically sourced ocean treasures from all over the world and every jewellery piece is unique. Kim hopes her jewellery connects people with nature.
