Exhibition: 18/04/25 – 18/05/25
AGWA Collection Part: 2 is an immersive exhibition showcasing a dynamic collection of time-based media artworks, featuring video, sound, and digital installations. This exhibition explores movement, transformation, and storytelling through time, inviting visitors to engage, reflect, and experience the power of time in art.
These works examine the evolving relationship between form, space, and duration, encouraging a dialogue between the static and the dynamic. Visitors will have a thought-provoking experience, exploring the temporal nature of time-based media and contemplating themes such as movement and transformation.
We aim to create a space where visitors can engage with art in diverse and meaningful ways. The exhibition encourages interaction with time-based media, offering an experience for more than one of the senses. Visitors should leave with an enriched understanding of how different mediums communicate ideas about space, time, and form.
Featuring six artists from the State Art Collection managed by the Art Gallery of Western Australia, this exhibition provides an opportunity for discovery, introducing new ideas, techniques, and perspectives. By encountering these works, the audience will engage with the power of time through art.
