Anti-sadness pills

Artist statement: Today, many of us are on pills to keep us happy or more content. It is something that our ancestors did not have access to. My grandmother suffered greatly with depression during her menopause, whereas I can just take a pill. I feel grateful, but I also question how much of this is good for us.

Materials and techniques: Images are drawn using Inktense pencils and machine embroidery. Framing made from printed papers and fabrics using a jelly plate, acrylic paints and pill packets.
