Artist statement: A handful of leaves, leftover cloth and a skein of thread in a jar of water warming in the sun. Glancing up from the dishes to watch the light shine through the pigment colouring the water. A small makeshift loom drawn from a pocket in a busy waiting room. The needle threaded in readiness for line of stitch or two.
Materials and techniques: Solar dyed, plant pigmented, leftover calico, cotton and wool threads. Hand woven on an improvised loom, hand stitched.
