Artist statement: The incomplete circles in this quilt serve as a metaphor for the on-going journey of life. It is a reminder that perfection is often elusive, and beauty can be found in the fragmented, imperfect circles. The intentional open spaces invite the viewer to contemplate the ever-evolving nature of existence, the colours symbolise potent events in our lives over neutral background.
Materials and techniques: Materials consist of recycled linen clothes, pre owned cotton fabrics and cotton/poly wadding. Fabric pieces cut improvisationally and stitched with cotton thread, and machine quilted.
