After Harvest
Gone are the greens and bright yellow of the crops
The sun bleached land, the stubble parched
Paddocks with fence lines gone
Small clusters of trees
Subtle ploughed lines
The wind-swept tracks from animals
Leaves blowing in the breeze
Dust storms wreaking havoc
Summer landscape memories of the farm
Anticipating a Summer holiday on the coast.
Materials and techniques: Wool, silk, cotton cloth, woollen embroidery thread. Botanic printed on discarded cloth. Cut, pieced and hand embroidered. Machine Stitch construction.
