The Altered Blue Room

This work displays my interest in both drawing and painting and using the over layering of imagery to provide a tapestry like effect. The work started as an archival quality photographic print of my painting The Blue Room. I have then used aquarelle stick and pastel to move the work between paint, color and drawn mark. The latter more spontaneous mark manipulating the tension between what is seen and what might be. The process moves the initial image to a new energy although still reflects the intimist focus of my immediate environment of my work.
