Artist statement: This quilt represents many milestones and learning curves. By chain piecing together one idea at a time, or one step at a time, this quilt is the “breaking the drought” work after my first experience of creative block and by taking a workshop with American quilter Sherri Lynn Wood I was able to sidestep my fear.
Materials and techniques: Reclaimed t-shirts patchworked top, t-shirt and end of bolt cotton print back and binding, hand and machine quilted, woollen batting.
